Mobile Cheque Deposit
How to deposit cheques with Mobile Banking.

Depositing cheques on your phone
To get started, follow the instructions below:
- Use your mobile banking app to sign into Online Banking on your mobile device.
- In the app, open the Quick Actions icon menu in the bottom center of the screen and select “Deposit”.
- In Mobile Cheque Deposit:
- Enter the amount of the cheque at the top. Double check that it’s accurate.
- Tap the Front icon, you will then be prompted to snap a photo of the front of your cheque. You will be presented a preview of the photo, which you can either use or retake. Be sure it is as clear as possible. We recommend taking a photo in bright lighting, where you can still see shades of black.
- Tap the Back icon and take a photo of the back of your cheque. Again, be sure this photo is as clear as possible.
- Once your photos are taken, choose the account in the To field, that you will deposit your cheque to.
- Select “Deposit”. This will complete the deposit of your cheque.
- Confirmation: be sure you’re happy with all the information and photos, and select Confirm.
- NOTE: Mobile cheque deposits may be automatically held for an average of 2-3 business days for clearing purposes.
- Write “deposited via mobile” on the back of the cheque and keep the physical cheque for the next 15 days. After those 15 days have passed, please tear up and safely dispose of the cheque. The original cheque should be destroyed within 120 calendar days of the successful deposit date.
