I Have Biometrics Set Up on My Device

You can enable this feature easily, in one of two ways:

1) At Sign In

  • Simply check the ‘Enable Biometrics, Face ID or Touch ID’ checkbox that shows on the screen when you enter your password at sign in on Libro’s Mobile Banking App
  • Follow along with the prompts, and ensure that you understand the terms connected to this feature.

2) In Your Security Settings in the App

  • In the Mobile Banking app, navigate to your Settings (look for the gear icon)> Security (shield icon).
  • Under this menu you will see either Biometrics, Face ID or Touch ID, depending on your device type.
  • Beside this you’ll see a button to “Activate.” Select this.
  • Turn the toggle on. Follow along with the prompts, and ensure that you understand the terms connected to this feature.

I Don’t Have Biometrics Set Up On My Device

  • To start using facial or fingerprint recognition for your sign-in, you’ll need to add it first to your device.
For Apple Devices with Face ID see their instructions.
For Apple Devices with Touch ID see their instructions. On Android devices, you will need to set this up by navigating to your device’s Settings. Depending on your device type, you should see an option to set up facial or fingerprint recognition under Security & Privacy.
  • Once you have set up your face or fingerprints on your device you can enable this on the Libro app by following the instructions above (I Have Biometrics Set Up On My Device).

Does Libro Store My Identifying Data?

Libro does not store users’ biometric identifying data (faces, fingerprints), etc. Biometric data is used for sign in purposes with Apple and Android devices, with no sharing of this encrypted data to Libro, just whether the verification of a user’s identity with facial or fingerprint recognition was successful.
