Goderich is one of the friendliest little towns you will find. The beaches are amazing, the restaurants are beyond superb, and the nature around us is beautiful in every season. If you haven’t had a chance to visit Goderich, as the saying goes, run don’t walk!
Rather than tell you about our beaches and restaurants (which you should still come and check out), I wanted to focus on surprising things you didn’t know Goderich had to offer.
- Looking to Sip and See: 519 Tours
This sightseeing tour agency has van and bike options to explore the beautiful Goderich area. You can enjoy the wineries, breweries, beaches, and food – while you let 519 tours do the planning, you sit back and enjoy the ride. - Outdoor trailblazers: G2G Trail Rail
If you like a lot of physical activity, you can bike, run, hike, or walk the G2G Rail Trail. What does G2G stand for? Goderich to Guelph! Yes, this 127km trail (former CPR railway line) stretches from downtown Guelph to the waters of Lake Huron. This trail offers beautiful views, and the option to be as active as you choose. - Rock climbers: Maitland Valley Grotto
Looking for a challenge? Need an indoor activity? Try out bouldering! This style of rock climbing doesn’t require ropes or special equipment, and it’s a great way to learn climbing techniques and increase your strength and mobility. - Best view around: Papple Aviation
Maybe you would like to see the sights from above! If this is the case, you can take a tour with Papple Aviation. Take some incredible pictures of the Harbour or the World’s Largest Salt Mine. You can even do a ride-alone flight at sunset, those are views you don’t want to miss!
If I haven’t yet convinced you to visit Canada’s prettiest town, check out the Goderich website for even more reasons you should come visit. There has never been a more important time to support our local businesses and communities – so get out and explore.
