Libro Credit has announced the coming retirement of Tania Goodine, Executive Vice President, Strategy and Innovation.
Tania will retire from Libro Credit Union on March 31, 2023, following 33 years of service to the credit union. Her contribution to Libro has been immeasurable, and includes leadership roles that have played a major part in shaping the successful, growing credit union we have today.
For much of her career, Tania has led teams in the brand, marketing and communications areas, and her role grew to include leadership of human resources, the delivery of digital advances and more. In her current role, she has been a key figure in the strategic planning that is shaping the future of Libro. And her work as project lead for the rebranding process that saw the former St. Willibrord Community Credit Union change its name to Libro is just part of the lasting, impactful contribution Tania has made.
Beyond Libro, Tania has made strong contributions to the credit union sector, taking part in national and provincial organizations and initiatives building awareness of credit unions and their products and services. And Tania’s community work is also inspirational, including contributions as a volunteer and board member with Children’s Health Foundation London, London Chamber of Commerce, Boys’ and Girls’ Club of London, London Hydro and London Public Library.
In retirement, Tania plans to devote more time to her growing family, especially her two young grandsons, Luka and Sammy, and to enjoy more golf and travel with her husband, Steve. She will also stay connected to community as a member of the London Hydro Board and as a READ Mentor at London Public Library, supporting a child in improving reading skills.
Steve Bolton, Libro Credit Union President, CEO and Head Coach, said: “I have had the absolute pleasure for most of my career to work alongside Tania as she supported the efforts of Libro to be the financial institution of choice to so many individuals and businesses in southwestern Ontario. I am happy for her as she moves into retirement and will miss her guidance.
“Over the last 11 years, Libro has built a significant leadership team to support all of Libro. There is a depth of leadership she helped build and I know she is proud of. While I am sad to see her leave Libro, I am excited for the Libro journey with our next generation of leaders who are credible and capable. Thank you, Tania.”
Libro’s leadership team is leading a conversation about the best way forward for the strategy and innovation work led by Tania, following her retirement in March. It forms part of Libro’s exciting, future-looking initiatives designed to make sure Owners have access to seamless systems and the best in financial coaching.
Libro warmly welcomes approaches from media. We would be happy to arrange interviews with Tania.
