Credit unions receive top banking award for 16th consecutive year
October 19, 2020
Libro Credit Union is grateful to the thousands of people who voted to give credit unions a customer service award—a running streak for 16 consecutive years.
The announcement was part of the annual Canada-wide Financial Service Excellence Awards, which every year reflect the opinions of customers across the financial industry. Many financial institutions pivoted, accelerated and adapted to respond to the ever-changing climate of the COVID crisis and new realities with their customers. Even still, this year was the 16th in a row that Canada’s credit unions as a whole were awarded the accolade for Customer Service Excellence.
“We are still learning a great deal through all of this and are grateful to our Libro Owners who were not only patient while we adjusted and readjusted how we support them but have continued to believe and trust in the financial advice and service we provide,” said Steve Bolton, President and CEO of Libro Credit Union.
The awards, announced by Ipsos, include seven for credit unions and were based on the combined results of more than 48,000 completed surveys.
Credit unions like Libro are leading with purpose. There’s no longer any doubt that people expect companies to show us, through their actions, they have good values. Through all this change and uncertainty, Libro has stayed true to a coaching philosophy, helping Owners navigate loss, sickness and worry in a way they never imagined. Libro is helping Owners redefine what prosperity means right now and coming up with a plan that suits each unique circumstance.
Steve Bolton said: “We will continue to see changes occurring and it can be confusing. The best advice I can give – is to seek advice. Libro Credit Union has been leading the way in providing solutions for our retail and business Owners, individuals and families, one at a time. We are providing advice over the phone, through video conferencing, and through targeted emails that can help you navigate your business and personal finances.”
