Strengthening Connections and Making an Impact
As a sponsor, Libro aims to achieve the following goals:

- Strengthen relationships with local businesses and community members through networking opportunities.
- Increase awareness of our brand, Purpose, and the products and services we offer.
Guidelines
Eligibility
- We will consider applications for sponsorships from for-profit and not-for-profit organizations for events and initiatives that are of mutual benefit to Libro Credit Union and the community.
- The initiative must occur in Canada and preferably in areas where Libro has a business presence.
We do not fund:
- Individuals (e.g., sponsoring an athlete, artist, student)
- Political parties/organizations
- Religious organizations (except for programs/services offered to the public on a nondenominational basis)
- Organizations that discriminate based on race, national or ethnic origin, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability or other characteristics protected by law.
Evaluation Criteria
We evaluate sponsorship applications with the following considerations:
- Potential for meaningful community impact.
- Opportunity for Libro to increase awareness of our brand, Purpose, and the products and services we offer among community members and local businesses.
- Participation and networking opportunities for Libro staff.
Application and timeline
- Organizations must apply online through the link below.
- Applications are accepted year-round and reviewed four times a year in February, May, August and November. To be considered in a particular month, applications must be submitted by the 15th.
- Funding decisions will be communicated in March, June, September and December.
- Only one sponsorship will be awarded to an organization per calendar year. For multiple events/initiatives or year-long agreements, organizations should submit a single application that includes a complete list of all event/initiatives.
- Sponsorships are not automatically renewed from one year to the next (unless there is a long-term agreement). If renewed funding is desired, the organization must submit a new request.
